A few weeks back I went to a blogger's event at PURE nail and beauty on Lothian Road in Edinburgh. Its taken me this long to post as the event was the night before leg 2 of the interview tour, and I have been struck down by some mega dose of man flu for the last week! The salon is part of the PURE spa group which has spa's in Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as the city centre salon I visited for the event.
As soon as I arrived I was given a yummy cocktail, and offered the chance of getting a minx ring finger manicure, which of course I said yes to!
Getting the minx applied to my ring finger was quick and it instantly looked amazing. The wrap was heated under a lamp for a minute or too, and then smoothed out so it would stick.
I then chose a dark gunmetal type colour for my other nails. I am afraid my nails are in a sorry state, as all the interview nerves and stress had me picking away at my poor nails. Despite this, I loved my nails, and the HR person at the interview for the job that I got even commented on how lovely they looked!
We then had the chance to have a hair consultation or hair up with the lovely ladies from Paterson SA hairdressing.
I went for a up do which was a mix of classical and funky, and it looked great. Just wish I could recreate something like this at home.
Overall it was a great evening, and I would love to go back to a PURE spa for some kind of treatment once I start earning pennies.
